About Us

It Started With a Book. Now We’re Bringing It Online.

Believe it or not, the idea behind Orange County Scoop goes all the way back to the 1980s.

Our mom, Patty, created and published a book called Focus OC — a guide to Orange County filled with everything from local facts and information to places to go, things to do, and the fun that made Orange County such a great place to live.

Years later, the two of us brothers who grew up right here in Orange County decided it was time to bring that idea back, but in a way that fits how people live today.

And that’s how OrangeCountyScoop.com was born.

Our goal is pretty simple: bring the community together and become your guide to everything Orange County, California.

We want to help local families discover great restaurants, businesses, events, activities and hidden gems right in their own backyard. At the same time, we want to give local small businesses another way to get noticed, tell their story and connect with the people who live around them.

This isn’t some big corporate website. It’s a local project created by two brothers who love Orange County and believe there is still something special about neighbors supporting neighbors and local businesses supporting their communities.

And we’re just getting started.

Meet the people behind the Scoop

Founder/Partner

Timm Cuzzo

Timm is the builder of the pair. He grew up in Orange County, and he's the one behind the look and feel of Orange County Scoop, from how the site works to how every listing shows up. He loves turning a good idea into something people actually use, and making it easier for local businesses to be found by the neighbors right around them. For Timm, Orange County Scoop is a chance to take what their mom started with Focus OC back in the '80s and give it a new life online, working side by side with his brother.

Scott Cuzzo

Scott is a people person at heart. He enjoys meeting new people, building relationships, and finding ways to help others, especially local businesses and the people behind them. Having lived and worked in Orange County for years, he loves the idea of creating something that helps people discover more of what’s happening right here in their own community. Orange County Scoop brings together a lot of what Scott enjoys most: people, small businesses, community and trying something new. Best of all, he gets to do it alongside his brother while carrying on an idea their mom started many years ago.

Patty (MOM)

Mom has always had a love for research and organizing, and gathering information has been something she truly enjoys. To be doing it all again for Orange County Scoop is an honor, especially as she gets to work alongside her sons in this new medium—not just in print. Orange County has grown into an even more amazing county than it was 40 years ago! Back then, computers and AI weren’t around to answer all our questions, so it was Patty’s goal to provide as much information as she could find to help people find the answers they needed. For 15 years, that’s exactly what she did. Now, it’s exciting for Patty to be working with her sons and to see new life brought to a new version of Focus: Orange County.
